Going through the Holy Door means:Â "I want to meet the Lord; I want to take a step towards Him" But what is the first step?
The first indispensable step is to recognise ourselves as sinners, to recognise that we have made so many blunders, that we have attached ourselves to idols, i.e. to false gods, to false securities that, sooner or later, disappoint us and leave a bitter taste in the mouth. We all have a few false gods in the drawer of our hearts.
